Biking Explorations
With over 30 miles of dedicated bike paths and picturesque routes crisscrossing the idyllic island, there is no better way to intimately get to know Nantucket's beauty than on two wheels. This self-guided bike tour will allow you to cover the island at your own pace, taking a spontaneous detour at one of Nantucket's pristine beaches or making an impromptu stop to photograph some of its historic architecture and rich maritime history. Here, you can rent one of our island cruisers for however long you need, pedaling along the island's shores, meandering through charming villages like Siasconset, and navigating the picturesque landscapes that make up the heart of Nantucket. Just ask your House Manager for recommendations if you aren't sure where to start.
Flora Celebration
Nantucket, with its vibrant natural beauty, is home to a diverse array of flora that enchants visitors year-round—an enchantment we have celebrated for countless years. In this customizable immersion, Life House guests are invited to learn about the island's rich tapestry of flowers, plants, and foliage under the guidance of experienced local experts. From native blooms like the Nantucket rose and beach plum to exotic species that thrive in the island's favorable climate, guests will honor the flora that inspires our Houses—over a glass of wine or two.
Sailing Excursion
Step aboard a classic 1930s wooden sail and racing yacht for a three-hour sailing excursion around the coast of Nantucket. This one-of-a-kind experience offers the opportunity to relish in the panoramic vistas of the island's coastline with a group of up to 6 people. Throughout the entirety of this three-hour tour, your private crew will take care of your group's every need, providing light refreshments and local guidance as you pass towering dunes, sandy beaches, and iconic lighthouses that paint a picturesque view of Nantucket. This trip is entirely customizable, adapting to your group's every need.
Landscape Painting
Spend a day capturing Nantucket's serene backdrop. Over the course of two hours, guests will convene in a tranquil outdoor oasis where they'll learn the art of landscape painting from renowned local artist Elle Foley. This private workshop is available only to Life House hotel guests, where they will unleash their creativity through the art of capturing Nantucket's natural beauty on canvas. Guests will discover the techniques and inspiration needed to create landscape works of art while also handcrafting a memento from their visit to the island. Spaces are limited.
